HOW TO GET YOUR
FREE CREDIT SCORE
It’s usually a good idea to know what your credit score is. We find that many clients improve their credit scores after they file for bankruptcy. This is not unusual, because when you get out of debt, and you no longer owe people money, that in itself is enough to increase your credit score.
There are many offers that you might see for getting your credit score, however, most of those offers have a catch and the credit score is not really free.
We give kudos to our legal assistant, Desiree, who came across an internet site that appears to offer a free credit score with no obligation or catches. They do not ask for your credit card information, or anything that would give them the opportunity to charge you money.
If you want to find out your credit score, feel free to go to www.CreditKarma.com and supply the requested information to get your credit score for free.
It might not be a bad idea to check out your credit score before bankruptcy, and after bankruptcy to see to what extent your credit score improves in the future.
You can also get a free credit report by going to www.AnnualCreditReport.com. You can use this site to get one report per year for each of the three credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
We wish you the best. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about getting your free credit score or free credit report.
