Can I Keep my Casino License When I File For Bankruptcy?

We have a lot of clients that work in the casino industry. They are often concerned why they are filing for bankruptcy is somehow going to affect their casino license. The answer is clearly that filing bankruptcy cannot in any way hurt you with respect to your ability to keep your casino license. There is section of the bankruptcy law that provides that no government unit such as the casino control commission can discriminate against an employee ho files for bankruptcy. I don’t believe that I have ever had a client who has had a casino license who has ever had problems with his license as a result of bankruptcy filing, and that is exactly how it should be.
